Sensitive source context stays in the selected local environment by design. Wave prepares a protected request for an approved provider and reconnects the returned response locally. The model still needs enough information to solve the task.
Provider compatibility, residual disclosure risk and retention depend on the integration. Wave is not a promise that no information ever leaves a device.
Evaluate it on your task.
Compare the same task with original and protected context under matched model settings. Measure output quality and residual sensitive disclosure separately; a good answer is not proof of privacy. Public evaluation methodology is still incomplete, so frontier-quality preservation remains a design goal rather than a universal benchmark claim.
